June 5 -- A day around the house

When we got up this morning, we found that there was no hot water. Some one had inadvertently turned the water heater off. It took a while to get that going and up to speed again. Mel was finally able to shower and get off to work.

We are heading off to France early tomorrow morning so we have to get laundry done and repack everything. We thought while we were doing that we should take care of a few chores around the house. We went to the UK version of Lowe's or Home Depot and called Homebase. We purchased some tools, window washing equipment, and a bunch of plants. Do plants come in bunches? Oh, that's right flats and containers. When we returned home we scrounged up some lunch and when that was finished we got to work. That is except for Ed, he went and took a shower. Got the skylight in the dining area cleaned, that took quite a bit of time, and got the front windows cleaned up as well.

Kay and Bonnie are putting in the plants that we purchased this morning. The "garden" should look much better when they are done. Still waiting for the laundry to finish so we can continue repacking.

Oh, did I mention, the weather was gorgeous again today. Even better than the other gorgeous day we have had. The forecast for where we are going is more of the same. Really looking forward to continuing out trip tomorrow. More will be written later this evening.
